Reports are flooding in that point to a rather serious T-Mobile network outage in the northeast US. It sounds like most metro areas in that region are affected including New York, Boston, and Washington DC. The carrier is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.
Customers in the affected areas are seeing a variety of issues. Some are simply unable to connect to LTE, while others are stuck on EDGE. LTE service is reportedly intermittently working in a few locations as well. John Legere himself devoted a whole tweet to addressing the issue without poking fun at any of the other carriers. It's not really the best time, obviously.
Thanks for making sure we're aware of some network issues in the NE. The network team is on it. I’ll let u know when fully restored.
