Get a loaf of this: London dev has best idea since sliced bread http://goo.gl/rZPdrU

We're starting to think that Bossa
Studios
is trolling everyone. After the ridiculous (but
ridiculously fun) Surgeon
Simulator
last year, the London-based developer is
following up with a game based on a slice of
bread.

The appropriately named I am
Bread
is billed as "the beautiful story of one slice
of bread's epic and
emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted."
However! Bossa claims there is a deep story to the game, and not
all is as it seems.

Much like the quirky QWOP, players
control each corner of the sentient slice to move around a kitchen,
trying to turn the cold, unloved piece of glorified dough into hot,
delicious toast. Or, alternatively, hump the motherloaf from which
it was brought into the world, which is kind of creepy when you
think about it.

Don't
miss

The quest to become charred crumbs is time based, with scores
for both edibility and deliciousness. One of Surgeon
Simulator's
calling cards was its deliberate fiddliness, and
I am Bread  looks set to continue that trend. You'll
also be able to pick up objects and use items in the environment to
help you on your way. 'Skateboarding Bread' is going to be a
cosplay favourite, for sure.

The game launches on Steam's Early Access program tomorrow,
though looking at some of the key commands in Bossa's
trailer
, expect to see this on PS4 and Xbox One eventually.
